Fantastic people. Fantastic food.
The Bahn Mi was perfect:
Bread perfectly crispy
Protein (had the short rib and chicken) marinade correctly: simple, fragrant, delicious.
Pickled vegetables were not overpowering and perfectly placed in the sammich.
Cucumber and cilantro: YUM!
Most importantly fresh Jalapenos.
Can't wait to go back! -

Called ahead a for my order of 2 Bahn Mi Sandwiches.
The person who took my order was polite and took her time to explain to me what type of Banh mi they had.
I'm from MD and Visiting family here.
I choose the Chicken bahn mi and also the short rib. Both sandwiches were very delicious and filled with lots of cilantro, pickled dicon/carrot medley just like I like it!
I kind of got lost getting there and called them for directions. They were kind and gave me directions. (Tucked between a few shops next to the HSBC Bank)
On my way out one of girls jokingly said "dont get lost on your way back home"
Nice people, great service, delicious food
Next time I'm here I am coming back for sure! -

Ok......so I never had a Bánh mì. There were times when I was on Mamaroneck Ave- but never made it to The Bánh Mì Shop. So it was time I came full circle. Before anything else- Bánh Mì Shop is Ca$h Only. Don't be fooled- place is tiny but cute, a couple of tables and slim counter. With natural light wood wall slats, large brown butcher paper overhead menus and colorful accessories- TBMS has it down to a T.
My Fried Shrimp Bánh mì without mayo- tasted good and had the usual cucumber, carrots, cilantro condiments- and flavors round it out nicely. But I was hoping my sandwich had a few more shrimp to balance the nice and crisp Baguette. Other than that, my Lychee Green Boba Tea was good and sandwich packed a nice punch. -

Just thought of adding more to my previous review since I come here frequently. For the last two times we've come here (today and sometime last week), they have run out of banh mi material. This is slightly annoying because we actually called ahead of time today and they said they had the ingredients! When we arrived, which was in less than 5 minutes, they said they didn't have enough for the original. Which is.. incredible.
The two female workers make this place very cold and uninviting. Whether they have recognized us or not, I always feel unwelcome here.
To those who come to the banh mi shop for some banh mi, make sure to call ahead. They seem to be missing some sort of ingredient all the time so I recommend not to waste the commute and just call first. I have no choice but to come here since it is the only banh mi shop so kudos on being the supplier to the demand of white plains. -

Fantastic Bahn mi sliced pork sandwich!!
The pho is very good too. But I keep coming back for the sliced pork sandwich!!! Next time I'll try the fried chicken pieces. I had the short rib but the sliced pork is better!!!
